Pooria Morad Soltani
Research Assistant
University of Strathclyde
Pooria is a programmer in self-driving laboratory software and workflow engineering at CMAC. He develops an AI-assisted digital formulation platform: a strong Python backend serving CMAC's machine-learning prediction models and multi-objective formulation optimisation, paired with a dashboard and a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that let researchers explore and optimise formulations in natural language, with an assistant that can compare candidate formulations, explain results, and diagnose issues.
Pooria holds an MSc in Data Science & Artificial Intelligence from the University of Liverpool, alongside a chemical engineering background. His interests span software engineering, AI-assisted scientific workflows, and data integration.
