Currently undertaking PhD study as part of Cohort 2 of the CMAC CEDAR CDT, following graduation as a Master of Pure and Applied Chemistry. Research interests are in nanotechnology to deliver drugs and in the treatment of pancreatic cancer.
Placement year and final year project both looked at the use of solid lipid nanoparticles to deliver chemotherapy drugs for treatment of pancreatic cancers, with final year project also looking at the use of gold-iron oxide metallic nanoparticles for theranostic use (therapy and diagnostics).
