CMAC’s Digital Medicines Manufacturing research centre (DM²) is focused on enabling data-driven Industrial Digital Technologies (IDTs) to advance the way we develop, manufacture and supply medicines. To realise this, the team works collaboratively with a number of industry partners to create relevant and adoptable solutions.

In this webinar, Dr Daniel Markl joins our industry partner MEDELPHARM as a guest speaker in an edition of their well-established webinar series. As lead for DM² Platform 2, Daniel and his team are researching industrial digital technologies to establish autonomous microscale manufacturing. Here, Daniel discusses the work done to date developing a self-driving, high-throughput, data-intensive micro-scale tablet development system - a tableting DataFactory.

Hear how various technologies, like robotics, and instruments, such as Medelpharm’s STYL’One Nano compaction simulator, are being brought together in customised formats to create this novel tablet development system and the benefits to be gained from employing it.
