DM² Webinars: Robotic Innovations in Medicines Manufacturing

CMAC’s Digital Medicines Manufacturing research centre (DM²) is focused on enabling data-driven Industrial Digital Technologies (IDTs) to advance the way we develop, manufacture and supply medicines. Robotics, and their role in automating medicines manufacturing processes, is a key IDT under research by the team in DM² Reseach Platform 2: Autonomous Microscale Manufacturing.

In this webinar, Dr. Faisal Abbas from the DM² Platform 2 discusses “Robotic Innovations in Medicine: Streamlining Manufacturing and Testing Processes.” Faisial shares the challenges faced in conventional drug development methods and how his research addresses these through his focus on automating tablet manufacturing and testing systems to optimise experiments, minimising production time and material waste.

Joining Faisal is John Mack, Head of Product Unit - Perceptive Engineering, who shares his experiences collaborating with the DM² research centre and Perceptive Engineering’s capabilities for process development.
