Sabrina Merahi
PhD Researcher
University of Strathclyde
Sabrina is a PhD Researcher within cohort 2 of the CMAC CEDAR CDT. Her work is in the scope of Biopharmaceutics, where she is working on developing a simple cyber-physical system that predicts the disintegration of DC drug products in-vivo.
The research aims to inform particle engineering strategies for improved drug uptake, and to better link in-vitro drug performance to real physiological behaviour. Integration into PBPK systems carries relevance for accelerating industrial decision-making and enhancing predictive power.
Sabrina joined CMAC in October 2025, and is based within the Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Strathclyde. She recently completed her MEng in Biomedical Engineering at Strathclyde, sparking an interest in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
