Rebecca McVicker

Industry Relationship Manager

Rebecca is CMAC’s Industry Relationship Manager, and a core member of the industry team. She leads collaborations with our Translation to Industry Technology (T2I Tech) partners and curates the portfolio of Tier 2 partners, supporting the Centre in progressing pre-competitive collaborative programmes. She also provides support to the Tier 1 lead on collaborations with CMAC’s Tier 1 and T2I CDMO partners.

Rebecca brings extensive experience in oral solid dose formulations and compaction behaviour, gained through her roles as Product and Applications Manager at Gamlen Tableting Ltd and as a Materials Scientist at GSK. Alongside her role at Gamlen, she completed an MSc in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technology at Trinity College Dublin.

She holds a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry from the National University of Ireland, Galway, followed by a year as a research trainee at the University of South Australia. Rebecca then undertook a PhD on catalytic nanoparticles at the Cardiff Catalysis Institute, where she later secured Exxon Mobil funding for a post-doctoral research position.
