Associate Director (Academic)

With research interests in data science, digitalisation, modelling and simulation, Blair has been a member of the CMAC team since early in the programme. Blair has led deployment of CMAC's data systems and supports various aspects of the growing digital research agenda. Blair leads the EPSRC funded ARTICULAR project which, working with CMAC data, is exploring the application of AI approaches in medicines manufacturing.

Blair is a chemist with a PhD in structural inorganic chemistry and molecular simulation from the University of Edinburgh. He has worked as an academic at the Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences for 18 years in various drug discovery and development programmes and has extensive experience of applied AI in models from the molecular to industrial process scale.

Steven Scott

Steven Scott is the founder and Creative Director of TwoFifths Design, a brand, website and animation studio in Edinburgh. He works with public sector, research, university and third sector organisations across Scotland, and has been a Squarespace Circle partner since 2018.
