Building on your Python skills (intermediate level)
-
This course builds on the basic Python skills you will have learned in ‘Introduction to Python’. In this course we will look at data handling, analysis, and visualisation using Pandas, NumPy, and key visualisation libraries. You’ll learn how to work with different file formats, manipulate datasets, and create insightful visualisations for medicines manufacturing. Through hands-on exercises, you’ll gain practical skills in data cleaning, numerical operations, and effective data representation to enhance decision-making in pharmaceutical processes.
-
This course includes the following modules:
Handling common file formats seen in medicines manufacturing
Data handling using Pandas
Unlocking the power of data: An Intro to NumPy and Statistical Analysis with Python
Numerical operations in Python
Data visualisation
-
The main objectives of this course are to:
Understand how different file formats (text, CSV, Excel, JSON) are used in medicines manufacturing.
Use Pandas for data handling, including DataFrames, Series, and data cleaning techniques.
Apply NumPy for numerical operations, array manipulation, and large dataset processing.
Master data visualisation using Matplotlib, Seaborn, and Plotly.
