As a scientific writer, Martyn is responsible for coordinating and crafting high-impact multi-author scientific outputs that translate the cutting-edge research of the DM2 accelerator and Mediforge programmes. Martyn works across disciplines to accelerate the dissemination of CMAC’s advances in digital medicines manufacturing and is passionate about advancing and communicating innovation across the pharmaceutical landscape.

Martyn graduated with a 1st class MChem degree from Heriot-Watt University and holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Glasgow. Following his doctorate, he was appointed as a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Strathclyde, where his research focussed on the development of small molecule therapeutics for the treatment of castration-resistant prostate cancer. He has gained significant research experience spanning academic and industrial drug discovery environments, specialising in organic synthesis, medicinal chemistry and small molecule therapeutic development.
