Professor of Chemical Engineering and Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

Brahim has a leading role in the EPSRC Manufacturing Made Smarter DM2 and several Horizon Europe consortia e.g., PharmECO and SusPharma, which are focussed on advancing the development of Safe and Sustainable-by-Design Pharmaceuticals.

Brahim has 15 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, crystallisation, and digitalization. His current research interests include Digitally and AI-enabled Sustainable and Green-by-Design Manufacturing, Retrosynthesis, Model-Based DoE, and Systems Approaches for Decision Making.

Steven Scott is the founder and Creative Director of TwoFifths Design, a brand, website and animation studio in Edinburgh. He works with public sector, research, university and third sector organisations across Scotland, and has been a Squarespace Circle partner since 2018.
