Lewis joined CMAC in 2022 to pursue a PhD in amorphous formulations. The PhD is a part of CMAC’s digital design and manufacture of amorphous pharmaceuticals (DDMAP), work package 1. This work will focus on developing an amorphous pharmaceuticals stability and structure database. This database will be the main input for building a machine learning model which aims to estimate the stability of amorphous pharmaceuticals.

Lewis obtained an MSc in chemistry at The University of Strathclyde in 2022. Throughout this degree he also gained vital experience working in the drug development department at Pfizer, Kent, for one year
