Ruairidh is a PhD researcher in CMAC and is currently investigating nucleation fundamentals under the supervision of Prof. Jan Sefcik. He is interested in understanding the roles and influences that interfaces and surface functionalisation play in enhancing or suppressing heterogeneous nucleation.

Ruairidh joined CMAC as part of the 2020 Cohort of PhD students in the Doctoral Training Centre, following the completion of his Master’s in Applied Chemistry & Chemical Engineering at the University of Strathclyde.
