Martin Prostredny

Research Associate

University of Strathclyde

Martin is a researcher working on the 'Industrialisation of spherical agglomeration' core project . The project focusses on scale up of spherical agglomeration process, using both experimental and computational approaches. Although successful at the laboratory scale, the implementation of spherical agglomeration at an industrial level demands a deeper understanding.

Before joining CMAC in January 2020, Martin did his PhD in Chemical and Process Engineering Department at Strathclyde studying organic porous materials using both experimental and computational approaches. After completing his PhD, he helped redesign and develop online teaching materials and activities in the role of Teaching Assistant in the CPE department before coming to CMAC. Martin's previous role in CMAC was within the MMIC GC1 project, which involved in experimental data generation, analysis, and methodology development for feeding and blending of pharmaceutical powders as well as PAT integration into the process. Martin has background in Chemistry with a focus on polymer materials during his Master's degree.
