University of Strathclyde

Alexandros is a PhD researcher for the Made Smarter Innovation | Digital Medicines Manufacturing Research Centre (DM2) at the University of Strathclyde. His involvement in the project “Autonomous Microscale Manufacturing” seeks to accelerate the development of medicine products and their manufacturing processes. Currently, his research is focused on optimising the application of a PAT microNIR spectrometer within the manufacturing line – thereby enabling real time monitoring of the blend uniformity of several formulations.

Before joining CMAC, Alexandros obtained his BSc (2020) in Medicinal and Biological Chemistry from the University of Edinburgh and his MSc (2021) in Pharmaceutical Analysis from the University of Strathclyde. He has also acquired valuable industrial experience, having previously served as an Analytical Scientist at Cambrex in Edinburgh.
