Jim Litster

Jim's research area is Particulate Products and Processes. He is an international leading expert on wet granulation with over 30 years experience in the field. His key contributions include the development of key regime maps for granulation processes and the development of mathematical models for engineering design and scaling of granulation processes.

Jim's current role sees him leading the strategic planning and management of the University of Sheffield Faculty of Engineering. Prior to his current role, Jim was the Head of Department for the University Chemical and Biological Engineering Department. Before joining the University of Sheffield, spent 8 1/2 years as Professor of Chemical Engineering and Professor of Industrial and Physical Pharmacy at Purdue University and from 1987 to 2007, he held various academic positions at The University of Queensland including Head of Chemical Engineering and Head of School of Engineering.
